I've crashed every way possible...
I saw Scarpa do a dock start from the top of the pavillion at Calloway Lake one year while I was at the Masters. Yes Sir, from the top of the pavillion... He footed away...

One of the coolest barefoot starts I have seen was from a buddy of mine. He started on a train bridge about 8-10 feet off the water and wrapped the rope down the front between his legs then up over his shoulder. He jumped with the rope tight which made him do a flip and land on his back. By time he hit the water the boat was moving and he stood up out of it. It was pretty nuts. I wish I had some photos of that one.

I have seen them do that overthere. I don't recall if it was Scarpa or not I will take your word on it. It was crazy to see him do it.
