What do you use for bringing along food/beverages? I have an 06 X2 and thinking about a soft side to put in the front under the seat..like the built in cooler appeal. Suggestions?

Just ice and a bag with the drinks. We dump the drinks and ice into the built in cooler behind the ski locker, that way nothings in the way on the boat. Sometimes people will bring a small soft side cooler which we'll put behind the driver's seat.

I usually bring a cooler to keep beverages cool. Works better and is more convenient than bringing the fridge down from the kitchen.

Just kidding - I guess everyone is a little bored in January so we resort to discussing boat coolers.

If more than just the family, or a long day of drinkin' ahead, I'll put a 2nd cooler in the rear storage. Can fit a pretty big cooler down there.
One of the best things about the new boat (coming from a 190) is not having coolers and people's stuff piled all over the boat. Never a lack of storage space.

Now I just need to rig up some hinges like the new boats have for the seat over the built in cooler.

In the past (college days) I've actually strapped a keg to the platform. Talk about ballast. The wake was much bigger in the am than on the ride home in the pm. Go figure.

You got that right!!! I'm going to try and dig up a photo tomorrow. I actually had a person comment that they had never seen a boat with an engine like that. They actually thought that the keg was the motor!!!!
