I have a 91 maristar without a spare prop. Is there an option for a spare prop that is in-expensive? I just want a crappy one on board just in case. Any ideas?

good enough to finish a trip if I bend one 2 days into a 7 day trip. I don't want to spend the 400 that I am seeing online for a spare.

I've got a 13 X 13 Stainless Steel Cutter 4 blade in excellent condition that I will sell you or anyone else interested for $200. It is a decent prop and is near bullet proof. PM me if interested.

We have to assume since it's a 454, it has a 1 1/8" shaft and or what are the #'s on the original prop you have for a true comparison for someone who may have a direct replacement?

So you might need to spend 5 out of 7 days with a crappy prop? I'd buy a decent one.

What makes you think you'll only bend it? what if you damage it beyond repair? then what?

Here's a crappy prop you can get at a 75% discount,
55260

PS, just buy a decent used/rebuilt prop and keep it as a spare for that just in case moment.

If it is more than bent like the above picture then the trip is over regardless of the spare prop I have. The numbers I can see on it are 541 13X12.

So you have a 1:1 trans based on that. From my experience with a Acme 543 (13x11.5), the 541 is one of the best props you can run, provided it's corect for your application.
I'd find a spare 13x13 OEM OJ prop. They're very common and relatively inexpensive because alot of people upgrade from it. Try ski it again, fleabay, etc. There's lots of 13x13's for sale.

One of the props I run on my boat is the ACME 541 also. It is a nice prop and the Cutter I referred to in my earlier post would be a good back up for your 541 and I'm not just saying that because I have something to sell!:)

I agree. Mine would not. Buy Russlars.
