View Full Version : do i just send my prop in?

last summer, with newto me boat (99maristar210vrs-180 hours) and new lift, I was backing off the lift at just past idle and the boat drifted to the side. The bunks were set too close and the prop hit one bunk and it caused the engine to stall. Damage to the 2x4 was maybe an inch at most gouge. Should i just send the prop in to get checked? Since my experience with everything was so new, I didn't really notice a change in the drive but I've read some threads about what happens when things are out of balance. Do I get the engine/shaft aligned too? Everything "looks" ok. But its winter and the boat is just sitting there.
Thanks in advance.
Man just thinking about getting the boat ready for summer is making me itch to ski. Maybe I'll go out just for a ride and then rewinterize it.--just kidding

If there is no visible damage and you don't notice any vibration, I'd just leave it alone. My two cents....
