Help...... I was skiing with my brother in his PS 197 ('02 I think) and a buzzer started going off at 34mph. So I dropped him, shut off the engine, restarted it and no buzzer. Put him in the boat and headed home and no buzzer but oil pressure was in the 80's then decreased as our speed decreased on the way home...... any thoughts as to what the buzzer may have been for????? thanks

How was the temp? May want to check out the impeller????

may have been the "im tired put me on the trailer" alarm. Sorry bad joke....I would assume temperature. My buddies nautique had a buzzer go off for an overheating engine. Like Eric said check into that.

my buzzer sounded off tonight...
wife was just starting the boat after letting the kids swim for 30 or so minutes.
told her to shut it down, temp gauge read 210
I got back inside the boat from the platform and raised the engine cover and felt the manifolds...
hot, but not unbearable. restarted and ran the rpm's up in neutral and watched the temp fall rapidly to 160.

dunno what happened, but I didn't like it:rant:

Sounds like you had a little heat soak. Had you shut it down after running it pretty hard with little or no idle in between? If you had to run the RPMs up to cool it down you might want to check the impellar as it is probably headed south. When they start getting old the first thing they will do is not suck enough water at idle but be ok at higher RPM.

I'll get right on that then.
