That is the best lake in the country. I grew up going to Ouachita. I know live in TX, but my boat lives at Ouachita. We are planning to go back every other weekend this summer. Where do you put in?

We have been there several times. Water is VERY clear and clean. Can usually find smooth water somewhere on the lake. We will be going again this summer.

We put in at brady mountain, I was thinking all of us get together and break in spring right. All MC's show up the first warm Saturday this spring.

I used to take vacations there all the time. I have moved my vacations to Lake Degray because it is easier to find smooth water. I do not have to go searching for smooth water because it is always close to the campsite. I prefer both lakes at the water inlet end. I will not go to or camp at the water exit end of either lake. My boat does not like the water that is used for sailboats.

we like the mountain pine area of Quachita always slick and not many boats.

never been. i am googling now. we made two trips last summer to heber springs/greers ferry. was a very busy lake every time. a little too rough water for our liking. that area is only about 2.5 hours away from memphis and makes a good weekend getaway for us.

greers is junk to many jet ski's. We put in at Brady Mountain and motor across the lake to the Mountain Pine area it is peaceful. From Memphis stay on 30 then 270 west out to Brady Mountain.

Did a weeklong houseboat trip at Ouachita in Sept. 08. That was one incredible trip. Can't wait to do it again this year. We rented out of Mountain Harbor and had the whole lake to ourselves for the week. It was so quiet there we barefoot across the middle of the lake in the middle of the day. We can not do that anywhere else I know of.

I agree we spend alot of time there. The recent wet weather has the lake very high should make for a great spring an summer.

good luck, water temps. are in the mid 40's now. Just hope for alot of sun and warmer days these 30 degree nights are not helping your cause. You need to work on team talk membership that way we can PM as the weather gets warmer.
