Rack, I thought about it but I try to keep boat pics for the swimsuit pics thread and don't have any from this season yet.
I think that the original thread should just keep going.

Thanks Andre, it is a beautiful place. I would love to have a course set up on that lake!
Only locals on the lake and the water is so clear.

Leroy's would be a good central point for all of us!
How bout it Leroy???

Hoosier Bob
06-17-2005, 12:00 AM
Leroy? He better get his backside out this year! He can afford to give up a few posts to actually ski once in awhile! If he is reading this ( I know he is) then he will know that Wednesday mornings I rotate with a bud between his X-9 and my 190 for some early a.m. get up and go skiing! That is as close as I get to calling someone out! We still have some unfinished business! We all need to get together and actually ski! I know it is a stretch but I think it might work! Just kidding! I do think it would be fun to load up all of the boats and head to some obscure lake for the weekend. Anyway we shall see.

I'm out of town this wednesday through the weekend. Next week? I'm in town until 7/11. My Maristar 230 is on Morse, or be happy to travel! Unfortunately my trailer is in a garage where I don't have access to for several weeks.

Leroy,
If you are around on Wednesdays give me a call you are always welcome to come out. We are out at 6:30 and usually in by 9.00.

We've been enjoying some very nice weather and the weekends have been great. We were having a great day on the lake today until Mrs. slipped on the end of the pier, landed on the ladder and sliced her shin very badly. It was very painful and she needed 7 stiches. :(
Be careful out there. When you least expect it, something can happen quickly.
Oh well, she's ok. It could have been much worse and we still had a good time out there. (Skiing earlier).

Now THAT sounds like something I would do! Be sure she gets more beer than grief. It really stinks being out of the water in the middle of the summer.

A couple years back, while walking to the July 4th campfire, I caught someone's front license plate. A Hand-full of stitches later & I was "designated boat driver" for the next 10 days!

Yep, about 2 weeks no water for her Jimmer.
Here's one from yesterday. A typical Sunday on the lake.

Well my neighbor was at the lake and said that over the weekend some a**hole hit one of the baby swans with a jetski and killed it.
I believe Michigan has very stiff fines for that.

The conservation officer was called and they did catch him.
There is a guy that owns about 6 cottages on the lake and rents them.
It was one of the renters.
He told them that they could pay the fine or their vacation there was over. (you can even go to jail for that in Michigan).
They decided to leave.
I also learned that those cottages are for sale.

On Saturday I took a kid from our club over the jump for the 1st time. He couldn't been over 9 years old. We lowered the jump down to 5 feet and he made his 1st two with me holding his arm. The look on his face was priceless! Big saucer eyes and mouth wide open!!! No better day spent then one spent teaching someone something new on the water!

Kentucky lake is just the same i wish everyone could experence our lake. Give it a look if your around our parts sometime.
I have relatives in southern Illinois.
My uncle had a place on the lake many years ago.
I don't remember where it was located though.
It was about and hour or two from Metropolis.
Beautiful lake...

She was a proud little camper. She got a bunch of sets in. She immediately started skiing side to side and was taking some long long runs. Cracked me up when she decided her hands needed a rest.

Rock on! She learn that move from Dad?

How'd I know that would be your next question!! :D Married and daughter is not much older than yours. There was a guy out who I know, he was sportin his new Supra Launch and his 22 year old girl friend (he is 48) in her thong. I'd have gotten pics but somehow the idea of my wife seeing those get downloaded would have been serious trouble for me :D

Yeah, she was unbelievably hot. Me thinks taking a picture of her at that point might have gotten me in a bumper boat match with a Supra, therefore I chose to pass for now

I usually take Friday off before labor day weekend and spend some time with Mrs. out at the lake while the kids are in school.
It's something that we look forward to.
Well we went out yesterday and it was a very nice day but it's just not the same with the tragedy that has hit our country on our minds.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all that have been directly affected by this disaster.
We are heading out there now and it's a beautiful weekend here.
We hope that you all have a nice weekend spending time with your family and friends.
Be safe out there.
Stevo

A great weekend at the lake. Suprisingly not too busy. I am finally skiing well again since my surgeries back in Dec and March. I rounded 5 ball at 34/15 and got all excited that it was easy again and lost it. Oh well! I will have some great pics of the lakes out in Bako once I load them and downsize them. They came from a friend who went up in one of those motorized parachute things. Can't remember if they are called aerolites or not. I'll be posting them soon. Hope everyone else has had a great holiday. B

Not an athlete. Unless you consider dating a sport  Gotta love my lil sis though!

She's pretty good on a slalom ski considering she only does it 2 or 3 times a year at most.

SteveO... at least you were on the water. I spent my weekend doing yard work by myself. But it is done for the season. One huge trash can filled along with 7 big trash bags....not to mention the trash can that went out on Wed full of the front yard cuttings. Next weekend will be different. A one day tournament with a huge party that night. Got me a new front binding and I'm looking forward to using it. B

We went out today, got caught in a huge thunderstorm and it DOWN POURED for about 30 minutes. We pulled the boat out and got it on the trailer just before the rain came  Then it got sunny afterwards so we went back out :D
