Unless you can find one used, you are out of luck. You can make one though. A couple people on here have made them out of aluminum.

I agree. Those covers are great looking...But they're not mine. Another member "AmericanskierJim" is restoring a 1980 LTD S&S and had these made for his boat. Another member on this board is parting out a 1979 that was badly damaged in a tornado. I don't know if the vents for a '79 will fit the '83 but you might check into it.

Hello I can make another set or just one of the vents. If you would like to know a price on them let me know. I had much fun making them my friend and I had alot of hours making them but in the end it is well worth the work.

cbryan, Yes that was for both front and back pices 550.00 cut and polished. For each pice would be 275.oo and they would be polished.

You may be going crazy, but you happen to be right about the shape of your front vent. Same vent as my '77.

what did you do to fix it? hook? or stringers?

I never did anything about it. It seemed to start when I added more horse power to the boat.

If there is a little chop on the water it will porpoise. I have not experimented with adding any weight in the front. Rumor has it that will sometimes alleviate the problem.
