View Full Version : Platform Brackets

Just got a new teak platform for an older model ('78) S&S. (Teak World Enterprises) and it looks great! Replacing the old fiberglass one and needing some suggestions on mounting brackets. Would like to get some pics and specs if anyone has them. What I would really like is a way to fabricate fold down brackets so the platform can be lowered for boat storage. Any suggestions are appreciated. I am thinking of doing the same for a '82 S&S so would like to do it right the first time.

I would say if you could send Eric @ OJ Props a accurate pattern of your transom curve they could make you a pair of blocks for the brackets to attach to and the fold down brackets like on ours will work fine. Since the old platform was attached with lag bolts, IIRC, you will have to drill all the way thru the transom to install the blocks and seal it all up with silicone or fiberglass on the inside and outside.
