Here is the quetion:

How many of you cats are going to drop down to 43 off this weekend and see how close to the 1 ball you can get?

I will probably try it for grins :D

There may not be enough loops in my rope. 75, 15, 22, 28, 32, 35, 38, 39.5 ... Nope, not enough loops on my 8 section.

just tie a knot in it

Speaking of which I found a knot in my rope last weekend
apparently it was in there the last time I skied as I have yet to get it out.
Don't think the wife puts enough strain on the rope to even get a knot tight.

I'd get that knot out. If I'm not mistaken, weakens the rope a bit. Soak it in some warm water.

I can just about guarantee I could get to the ball. Not likely I will have the rope any more but I can hit the ball..

Easy to say from someone that has only driven past a course.:o .

I don't have the course in yet, but when I do I'll give it a wack. :D

odd as it may sound, I've never tried super shortline. My curiosity is now piqued

I accidentilly got pulled up at 22off last month. Couldn't figure out what was wrong with my father-in-law's wake. Was much happier at 15.

I ski 43 off in open water about once a week.
It is a real kick. :D

The first year we had our course we forgot to extend the PVC out all the way. We were making passes left and right. Keep saying this does not feel right. When we pulled the course up that night we realized what had happened and we said we would not tell anyone. SO keep it between us

I actually did get 4 @ 22off on a test drive behind a 197 and that was the sucker factor... I was hooked
still havent tried it at home because for some reason I cannot get past 5@15off 34mph

Well I finial got around to it.
I've been waiting for glass on my third set to try.
My new PB ! one mini course ball at 43 off 34 mph.
I missed the full course ball by 1 1/2 to 2 feet.
If I had a Michels course I would have made it. :D
The camera man was not there, the next time he's out I will get a photo of it.

Frequently I'll shorten the rope while newbies are in the water to 43 to highlite how the pros do it. Free skiied it once after someone suggested it on TT, enjoyed it, but everything happens sooo fast I can't focus on anything technical...its just hang on for dear life!

I tried surfing at 43 off... does that count?

Going around the balls were real tough on a surf board!

gawd, at 43' off you could probably just about give the stern of the boat a high five. Has their ever been someone running that short screw up and meed the rear of the boat?

I'm beginning to think that we use waaaaaaaaaaay too long of a rope or skiing. If I'm not mistaken its 70 feet long.

If it is just a slalom rope it is 75 i think. I would say never ski at 75. I always ski 15 off -60 ft. It feels alot better. I like 20 off-55 ft. the best. the best for our wake.

Yah then maybe it is 75 feet. Next time I'm in WIsconsin, definetely going to buy a shorter rope to see how it feels.

If you come out and ski with us we have a few different ropes that are shorter. I took out the sections so the longest it goes is 60. And then it has 55, 50 and 45.

BJ's in Minocqua has some nice ropes.
