I'm not on any bass boat forums so I figured I'd ask in off-topic here.
Got an '87 Ranger bass boat w/ Evinrude 150XP that I using for a friend. :D

Boat has been sitting for a long time, most everything works well, but the steering is incredibly stiff.

I have various general purpose and automotive greases, however I assume I should be using a "marine" grease for this? Any tips on how to go about it? Clean it first? etc.

Thanks,
Bailey
