Working on my 86 Rainbow, I need to remove the spedo and I'm unsure how to remove the spedo. Also any tips on removal and referb I would appreciate the advise, also I need information on decals and what the buttons to the right of the S. Wheel? All of my decals are gone and I'm unsure what all of the buttons are on the right of the dash.

Thanks

Remove the face of the instrument pod. The speedos are held in place with brackets attached to the back of each speedo.

Yep got that far but the spedo cable is what I'm afraid to remove. And not sure how...

If it's an Airguide speedo, there should be a tube connected to the back with an aluminum nut holding it in place. A counter clockwise turn of the nut should back it down the tube and then you should be able to remove the tube from a barbed fitting on the back of the speedo.

The button to the left of stering wheel is horn the buttons to the right would be circuit breakers for the switches if i remember correctly the switches from top ro bottom are blower, auto bilge, bilge, nav lights i think i am missing one. I have an 86 blue rainbow in process of refurb interior would love some pictures!!

There are many ways to rework those old dashes. Here is what I did with mine.
