The previous owner was insured through "Sea Safe Ancient Mariner".
Does anyone have any personal experience with this company?
Or maybe do you have any referrals? I am leaving from Texas to get the boat tomorrow morning and need insurance before I tow from NC to TX.
Thanks!

I just switched to Voyager Marine in Dallas (policy is through Inamar). No layup and saved $100 off my last carrier for an agreed value policy.

I'm with Ski Safe a subsidiary of Sea Safe. I pay about $200/yr and it covers my boat and trailer. No complaints.

Anybody ever have a claim with ski safe?
I have and I learned they small printed their way out of paying anything on my theft and damage
Ski, jacket, and BF suit were not covered, because they were not stored in a lockable compartment.
Radio was not covered, because it was more then two years old and the resulting value after depreciation was less then the deductible.
The only thing we could have battled over was the IP damage, as they had attempted to steal the entire IP, and ripped the screws through the IP. But, at that point, it was easy enough to "fix" it, since the boat was being sold in couple of days anyway.
I went to my homeowners policy, save money, and didn't have any lay up expenses. Not a ski safe fan
