I am looking at couple of MC Prostars, 1993 PS190 and 1993 PS205. Could someone tell me if the wake is much bigger on the 205??

Can't respond on the wake for boarding, but for slalom, the 190 is the best it gets. The 205 is no slouch either, most can't tell the difference if they didn't know. Just a little more bump across the wake. If your not a tourney skier its no big deal. The 205 is going to have much more interior room with an open bow.

I currently own an 1983 stars and stripes, trying to find a smaller slalom wake, read the 190 is the best, but see the 205 has same hull just little longer. Handling the same also?? Thanks for reply Hammer.

No first hand experience, but the 91-94 190 is considered one of the best (if not the best) slalom wakes ever produced by any manufacturer. The 205 is also very good for an open bow because the hull is the same from the windshield back. Spray may be an issue with both hulls if you are a short line skier.
I don't know how dramatic an improvement either boat is over a 83 S&S's wake.

First hand experience. The 93 190 is exceptional. The 93 205 is great. This comparison is for the higher end of the slalom speed chart. So they're both in the awesome end of the chart, but the wakes are not identical. The rooster tail is a bit taller on the 205 and a bit firmer. It's a small difference, but it's a difference. I have said it time and again, had I wanted an open bow, I'd have kept my 93 205. Awesome boat and available at a good price.

I love my '92 PS 205. I find that the slight bump is a small trade off for the open bow. I barely notice it.
