Please pray for the soldiers and families. This is a sad situtation and they need our prayers and support.

I heard on the radio that he was shouting "allahu akbar" as he was pulling the trigger. Great.

I agree she is a hero, one more round and maybe we would not still be talking about a court hearing. Waste of tax payer dollars, agreed, pull the plug. As a matter of fact, let a surviving spouse have the honor.

It will be a military trial and I'd bet he is put to death within 3 years. The other coward that killed a Major and Capt in Kuwait at the begining of what would be OIF1 was about 3 years until he was put to death.

I'd love to sit on this guys court martial.

3 years? With appeals and the other nonsense, I would think more like 10 years. Too bad a military execution isn't by firing squad.

If you haven't seen or heard of this interview on Larry King with Dr. Phil regarding the motives behind the shooter, watch this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ae8qYjrh_gw

It is infuriating that the JAG officer gets slammed for saying the motive behind the attack is something other than PTSD. An editorial in the Wall Street Journal yesterday talks about this interview as well and how ridiculous the media is in their attempt to mask the truth.

Let him ROT behind bars. He wants to be put to death and heralded a martyr. Put him in a cell with no access to the outside world, no tv, no visits, no matress, no daylight, no exercise, nothing but a cold block room for the rest of his life. I think he should live in misery without ever getting to make it to his staus as a hero to the other side. If we execute him he gets what he ultimately wanted anyway.

very well said Monte... Whether he wants to be put to death or not or what ever in the world he was or is thinking he needs to rot behind bars just like you said.

The last person to get death was done in 3 years which included his automatic appeals.
