This site is awesome I have been a longtime Malibu owner that just recently upgraded the family from a 1987 Malibu Skier to a 2004 X2. I immediately felt a little alone until I spent the first few days submersed in threads here and I can say I know I'm in good company. I look forward to giving and getting all the information possible and thanks for taking part in this forum, it really is nice as new MasterCraft owner.

Hi and Welcome to one of my favorite sites...I actually looked a t a Malibu before I made my acquisition of a 99 Maristar. The funny thing is that I bought the boat, without a test drive or even starting the engine.

It would be great if you could give us your insights to the differences between both boats after you get familiar with your new Toy...:D

Welcome RubiconX2! As said before, post some pics when you get a chance.

My buddy had an '06 X-1 (same hull as yours) and it was a great boat. If you're a wakeboarder and want a better wake than stock here's what he did:

Remove stock rear hard tanks and install (2) v-drive fat sacs, plumb them in to system.
Fill the ski locker with the largest sac possible
Add another 750# sac in the walkway

The wake is awesome on this boat.........have fun!

Me too......had a dead battery so I didn't know it even fired up until I got it home :D

Congratulations on the new ride and welcome to the MC team :headbang:

I have that same hull on my 06 X1, if you have skiers have them take the first set a little slow, there is a bump but you'll love the boat.
