Has anyone else out there noticed stains on their Mastercraft bimini due to a magic marker stripe left on the bows or rods of the bimini made by Apex Canvas company? For some reason these marks were placed on my Mastercraft bimini bows or rods during production and when stored in its "boot" has then bled onto the canvas portion of the bimini. I'm not talking one or two small dots, these stains cover a decent size area on two locations on the center bow or rod of my bimini. Apex has there phone # on the bimini but did not want to deal with me since I am not the dealer and referred me to my Mastercraft boat dealer for a complaint or warranty info. My Mastercraft bimini attaches on three locations on each side of my 2004 Prostar 197. I do not have a tower, thus the bimini attches to the boat itself and in '04 does NOT attach to the windshield at all. Would Apex just send me a new canvas? If so has anyone had any experience taking apart the bimini to change a canvas. Looks like it can be done, but might take a little thought. I love the product itself - no rattles and is very sturdy and quiet. My first bimini and we certainly love the shade on hot days with a 9 month old boy. Thanks for any help!

Todd,
I don’t know how they are put together but if it is riveted together I would hope they replace the entire thing.
BTW, if they do, what color is the old one:D

did they ever resolved this issue for you at Apex???do you know why in 2004 they stopped attaching them to the windshield?!?i just picked up a 2003 windshield mount bimini and quite excited i won't have to deal with the straps to the gel coat being in the way...
