I looked at the rudder box on my 05-X-10 and could not find a grease fitting. Is there supposed to be one there? It feels like there is a piece of rubber tubing slipped over the box blocking where a fitting would be. Any ideas? I need to grease the shaft.

My '05 X-star has no grease fitting either (I don't think all MC's have fittings??)

I've had to remove my rudder several times to change props, so it gets greased then. If yours has never been greased, you should remove the rudder and grease it.....pretty easy job. Just make sure you put a jack under it before you loosen the rudder so it won't drop out and get damaged.

That's what the wife is for.
