Need help changing out tow pylon

I got a new chrome tow pylon and now need to put it on. Anyone done this before? Please email amonette516@comcast.net with any suggestions.

The old pylon will be for sale too!

I installed one in my 2003 197 a couple of weeks ago. It was probably the easiest thing I installed in any boat. Remove the small floor section around the engine cover. I had two screws that held the floor in place that are located under the engine cover. Then remove the 4 nuts on the U bolts around the old pylon. You can slide the old pylon out and install the new. Now just do the above steps in reverse. Like I said it is pretty easy.

because the chrome it pretty. i could care less i use it to ski off of.

You have to remember I work for Harley and chrome is king.

I have been eyeing them over there. :love: I would love to have a new chrome swivel head pylon on my boat. I just think my wife would kill me if I did so for now I am using restraint. :rant:

Who's the ones adding the MC items onto the Kegerator? I may have to get that you for when I start mine...
