Over the winter Im gonna take care of the seat. The observers seat bottom , where the stitching is, is coming un-done, not ripped but the stitch is open. Do u think an upholster could just restitch or will i have to get new skins?

On our boat the upholsterers were able to replace a panel in the middle of the skin and put it back for far less than making a full new skin.

guess I'll just have to take the seat off and bring it them; see what they say.

If there is rot, then reskin. If not, they should be able to restitch.

I had my driver's seat bottom skin re-stiched at the seam two winters ago. The local upholstry shop did it. Since they had several months to do it, they were pretty reasonable on the price.
