I can't seem to find the information about Sammy Duvall Series. Does ALL MC Sammy Duvall Series come with a LT-1 Corvette engine ? Or is it an optional to have a LT-1 Corvette engine on Sammy Duvall Series ? What's the standards for Sammy Duvall Series ? What are the options for Sammy Duvall Series ?

The Sammy Duvalls ran from about 1996 to 2004 so engines are going to vary a bit. The Lt-1 was an option in them up until 1999 with the TBI being the standard power plant. The 2000-2002's ran the LTR and the 2003-2004 ran the MCX engines.

As far as standards I think it again varies by year, some of the later models has polished ski pylons and plenums. I'm not sure about the standards on the earlier years.

What years and models are you looking at?

I believe the Sammy Duvall limited editions started popping up in 1991. At that time they were mostly a different paint scheme. The one I have seen was a reverse color jobber that was equipped with the 351 ford and a 1:1 velvet drive.

Jim at BAWS has a teaser photo of a Sammy with copper and gold metal flake, but I've never seen pics of the entire boat. There's a 1995 for sale on the board here. It's white with silver metal flake and red accents. Pretty awesome looking boat, and it has the LT-1 engine.

Thanks for posting this thread! I'm super interested in the Sammy Duvall's and would love to see as many pics as possible.

Thanks for your responses ! The reason I asked is because my MC is 1995 Pro Star 190 Sammy Duvall Series, with silver metalflake and red accents. Exactly the same as the one that's on the market. I looked at my engine. There's no lettering "Corvette" on my engine. My repair guy who does the winterizing my boat, says that the engine is LT-1 Corvette. I wasn't sure if it's 351 Ford or Chevy engine. I wish there's a lettering "Corvette" on the engine.
Yes, I've seen pictures of Sammy with cooper and gold metal flake. Would LOVE to see that boat !!!! I sent messages on the board to find out who owns one like that. No one responds.
I love my 1995 MC Sammy Duvall ! Only 200 hours on it.
Today is my birthday and I'm going to take it out on my lake for a spin ! :-)

Happy Birthday! What lake you going to? I see you live around Atlanta. We spend our time on Allatoona, Lanier and Carter's Lake. Two hundred hours? You need to get that boat on the water. If I see a Sammy Duvall out there I will stop and say hi. We will be out there every decent weekend until it gets to cold.

My second MC was a 95 Sammy with the LT1. The Corvette "covers" are removable arent they? Maybe yours are just missing. I think all '95s were LT1.

This is the one that might have been the fore runner to the Sammy Duvall edition hulls - the 1993 ProStar 190 "limited edition".

I saw a 1991 PS 190 on ebay a couple of weeks ago that had the Sammy Duvall decals on it, but I'm guessing those were meaningless. The story on it was that it formerly belonged to Sammy. It was a beautiful boat - albeit totally thrashed! It looked like it had been rode hard and put away wet, but it had a light blue reverse gel coat paint scheme that looked really sharp. It needed all new skins which wouldn't have been a big deal 'cause it went for $5100.

Sammy Duvall had a MasterCraft dealership in Orlando on National Drive from 1988 till about 1994 when he then opened his ski school and training center in Disney World on the lake at the Contemporary Hotel. That was most likely a boat they sold and that was one of his dealership decals, not one of his personal boats, because he had a 1990 Limited, then a series of Sammy Duvall Signature boats that MC gave him for his services and endorsements while under contract to MC. We had several conversations with Sammy when he attended the boat owner reunions at Cypress Garden and he was there to represent MC and be a boat judge and a couple years I worked as a judge along side him.We also made several stops by his dealership while making the trip through Orlando.

That boat is about as trashed as the one I found for 03-35th.
