Has anyone had any problems with their rear seat breaking? I have a 1996 Prostar 205 and my rear seat broke in the middle a few years ago and I have taken the upholstery off of it and it is made of an aluminum honeycomb material. It was broken in the middle where most everyone steps when entering the boat from the rear. I need help in finding a way to repair or replace it. Or does anyone know if it is covered by warranty?
Thanks
Billy

yes...I think MC and other boat companies have had this problem for awhile. The new boats have a piece of wood that run the length of the seat that help this problem. but doesn't fix it.

There's an older thread on this complete with pictures. I think it's on this board, but if you don't turn it up, I know somebody's repaired his and had pictures. For some reason, the old board isn't coming up anymore.
TTAdmin, any news on the archives?
Once you replace the honeycomb, try using an empty square tupperware placed upside down under the center of the bench. They make one thats exactly the right height. The previous owner of my '95 ps 190 did that, and it works so well that the edges will fail before the center will. Make sure you drill holes in the tupperware to keep the carpet under it free of mildew.
