Has anyone heard if the new Indmar LS& Vette engine will be available for the Mastercraft boats in 2010. The HP is rated at 505 and torque at 470 I believe.

Might be a nice fit to the Xstar and bigger hulls.

I always wondered if a 5.3L would do the trick... They make 315 HP stock.. and with a little headwork, different cam for more low end torque, it would make an ideal engine for a smaller 19-21 foot boat...

Wow, that is beautiful. Those riser looks like a work of art. Has anyone skied behind a boat with the new Corvette engine? I bet trying to slow that thing down at 3500 RPM is like trying to pull against a freight train.

The photo is of the LS3. The LS7 would be a great motor as well no? Just prop it right? Jim...your thoughts? Since you are the motor guru of this forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the ls3 would be better suited, the vehicle motors have the possibility of displacement on demand (DOD) and variable valve timing. The 6.2 makes 403 hp and torque every where from the vvt the LS7 just has a little more displacement, titanium parts and a higher operating range. Don't get me wrong the Ls7 would look great anywhere

Wow, that thing is beautiful! Makes the MCX and LT-1's look like turds in a punchbowl.
If I had that I'd HAVE to get a clear engine box!
