I am going 1200 miles to get an 85 S&S and just want to make sure it has the powerslot transmission.
From doing a search on the site i have learned that the shaft and prop will be larger than the 1:1.
Also, is it ture than the hull will have a "concave" to allow more room for the prop? If so, I am certain from the pictures i have seen that its a Pwrslt.
Any other information or any suggestions in what I should look out for when looking at this boat will be greatly appreciated!

I believe all the hulls made from 82 to 85 had the concave.
It it is a powerslot it should have a 14 x 18 prop and a 1 1/8 in. shaft.
Also the transmission will be larger than the standard 1:1 Velvet Drive
Got any pictures of the engine/transmission?

Sorry, can't tell from that photo, do you have one that shows the transmission?

The 1:1 drive has a single housing (http://ebasicpower.american-data.net/bw/bw_tran.htm)
The 1.5:1 has a double housing (http://ebasicpower.american-data.net/bw/bw_10.htm) I believe the reduction is the second housing.

A lot of people think the concave portion of the hull is the powerslot. Powerslot if the gear reduction tranmission as mentioned. I have people tell me they have powerslot for this same reason.

Yeah, I read that on this forum is why I questioned it. Didnt know if that was designed for powerslot or not.

The concave area in the hull was part of the Powerslot package but I think MC used it for their 1:1's as well. I guess it was easier to have one type of hull mold.
