Bummer. You may want to check the prices out there for a rebuild. $300 may be a little high yet. End of the season is always a hard time to sell. Good luck.

No offense, but that guy must be awful good to charge $200 for a rebuild, when I supplied my mechanic (ASE Certified Mechanic and racecar builder/competitor) a $48 Marine Renew Kit and $60 to rebuild mine and it only took 2 days.

I need a new carb, but not at that price, sorry. I'm sure the guy who rebuilt it is talented, but I must say I'd rather buy one from national for 225$. Since there's speculations around that the dollar is going down quite a bit I'll wait(got all winter) and see for a while, I'm in Norway:toast:

I don't think you can go wrong with that idea. Having a few extra parts hanging around always makes for a better summer for sure. :D

I have 3 props now, for that just in case log in the middle of the channel!
