Has anybody been to Ski Paradise in Acapulco? Reviews? Comments? Is there a lot for a wife to do that doesn't ski (and when I say "a lot" I mean laying around getting pampered)?

Thanks,

T

Don't worry about Mexico. Acapulco is fine. Some other places, not so much.

My wife and I went there 13 years ago. It was FANTASTIC! The problem was that it was in January, and I was far from skiing shape. I overdid it, and had blisters on my hands and sore shoulders for a week. It's probably changed a bit, but there's plenty of opportunity for pampering, shopping, golfing, spa-ing etc for those who don't want to ski all day. There's plenty of opportunity for drinking, from what I remember.

Send me a PM if you'd like.

Thanks, I'll check the other thread out. I ski all year around down in here in the Bayou, so if I go, hopefully I'll be in shape. What's the weather like there in January?

It was AWFUL! The same temps day after day after day: 80-85' and sunny with light afternoon breezes. As I recall, Thursday was particularly bad, mostly because of the tequila.

your wife may get bored. evryone will be out at the ski site from early morning till about 3 or 4pm. the villa is nice but she will be left alone. if she heads out to the lake there isnt much there to do but ski. you will also have to pay almost the same for her as a non skier which is very expensive. what another guy did when i was there , was he pu up his wife and kids at a hotel and he went by there periodically. he did stay an additional week at the hotel with them though
