Self install of a factory new PerfectPass Wakeboard Pro. Easy stuff. Built a bracket of aluminum vice mounting the servo on the large water hose. Factory tach remains, factory speedo replaced with PerfectPass display

Question. Why is my Lake Temp reading so very low now? Both gauges read the same. My theory is that the low voltage signal coming from the temp pickup is now cut in half because of two lines to two display circuits vice one. Thoughts anyone and anyone found a fix?

Also, did anyone find that the manual is incomplete:

- to access the calibrate mode for slalom (rpm) you have to hit MENU twice (vice once) AND you really don't know that you are in the mode like you do in wakeboard mode where it says SPEED CALBRAT.

- The sytem comes somewhat preset from the factory for Wakeboard program vice digital pro. The only problem is I can't tell which motor that they programmed. Anyone know what the display should say if its been programmed for a 5.7 MCX?

Would like to get my hands on a good menu line diagram.

Dispite these nits, WHAT A SYSTEM. turn it on, pick the name, pull'em out of the water and at the BEEP turn the throttle over to the BRAIN.

Phone Perfect Pass. They are very helpful.

I second that notion. My perfect pass wouldn't power on last saturday. I spent 2 minutes on the phone with perfect pass that afternoon. Today, I get a FedEx package with a new Perfect Pass board and connector. I switched them out, now, I'm good as new.

I've dropped the question to the PerfectPass dealer i bought it from.

Thoughts anyone?

PP only ask if you got the 6.0 or 8.1 liters and you have to hit the up arrow to confirm.
The default setting is the 5.7 liters.

Yep,a line diagram would be nice.I had trouble finding lake temp at first.
The installation part was very well detailed but setting it up can be difficult at first.

Do a complete system reset and you can program for whatever you like (Pro or wake) as well as select the installed engine.

Andre, go here for a system menu map.

Thought I would share all that I've learned for an aftermarket install of DigitalPro/WakeboardPro in a 210/X10:

- Water Temp now displays temp too low. The PerfectPass supplied wiring harness has a red wire that is part of the 6-wire connector that fits into the boat's factory harness behind the driver's kickboard. Simply cut that wire or push the barbs back and pull the pin and electrical tape the wire to the harness (as I did). My theory is that the voltage signal from the temp pickup (which is built into the speed pickup) was being cut in half by sending it to two display circuits (boat's and PPass). So know I can still see temp on the factory setup through the factory rpm gauge window.

- Yep the factory manual is wrong. To access the calibrate mode for slalom (rpm) you have to hit MENU twice (vice once) AND you should then see an "R" in place of the "S". I'm going to look at that in the next day or two.

We had our first experience with trash in the speed pickup. Was pulling my son in wakeboard mode and there was a near instant drop of 2 mph on my GPS but the speedo was still registering 19. We stopped, checked the servo neutral function (was okay) and then had my son dive the boat and spin the pickup both directions. Looks like it was the pickup.

AND IT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT that these things should be renamed as the marriage/family saver. The wife likes it more than I do.
