Anyone with suggestions on the best size of prop for a 197. Used mostly for skiing some wakeboarding and barefooting. Currently replacing a 4 bladed 13.7 x 15 OJ, which seemed to work well, but damaged and needs replacing
Thanks

We had a damaged 13x14 4 blade OJ prop, and replaced it with a 3 blade 13x12.5 acme prop. We noticed with the smaller prop that there was more vibration with 4+ people in the boat. After speaking with Eric at OJ we decided to go back to a 13x14 4 blade. I would also like to hear what others have to say on this topic.

Go directly to the man that knows, Eric Johnson @ http://www.ojprops.com/contact_us or contact him by pm, EJ OJPROP, http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/member.php?u=1537
Be prepared to give him any info he may need like, current prop info off the hub, baseline numbers of the speeds and RPM's for the current prop, boat model and year, engine size, transmission ratio, function (skiing, barefooting, surfing, boarding, tubing, etc.), ballast use, fuel load, gear, nominal # of passengers, etc. He will need it to determine the best prop for your application.

Depending on how badly damaged your prop is, OJ may be able to repair it.

A neighbor of mine on the lake had great results having his original OJ prop repaired for his '04 X9 MCX. Less than $100.
