If I was to want to start Slalom Skiing.
What would be a good ski to get?
The last time I salomon Skied was about 9 years ago. I didn't do much outside of come out of the water and ride around.

I have a Connelly Concept. Great ski all around. Not bad on price either. I run the course to with it also.

For learning and or getting back into free skiing, I couldn't go past the HO Comp Freeride series, e.g. Magnum, Burner, Charger & Venture. You can also learn to ski the course at slower speeds easily owing to the increased surface area.

Obrien Syncro, and Overtons has them on sale for less than $300.0 with double boots and if you like a toe strap its even cheaper. BTW Not only is it an easy ski to get up on, its capable of 41 off at 34mph.

West Coasters ski on D3's and East Coasters ski on Goode's. Both great ski companies. Try Mags first though.

looks like I need to move out west then... cuz I ride a D3 Nomad and going to ski lessons at H2Oz and demo the new Z7 while I am there and possibly put a deposit on one.

I know where you can demo that on the West Coast. PM me if interested.

I have found that a heavier ski works better on the boats with the slightly tougher wakes. My ski(D3) rides much better behind the 91 to 94 boat models than the newer boats. 2 cents...

Plenty of east coast rippers on the D3. Good customer support too.

Love my nomad but if you are just getting back into slalom maybe not worth the coin until you decide that's what you like to be doing.
