Picked up an 06 X2, MCX, PP, 48 hrs this weekend. Still can't believe it's in the garage!:D
To save a bunch of searching and calling around, maybe someone with a newer boat can help me out.
Raw water impeller, same as the older boats? (like my 96, Johnson 812 I think?)
Ballast pump impellers, part #?
Good aftermarket trailer place to get new oil bath hub caps and rear hub seals (1 cap is seeping oil, read about some aluminum ones???)
Trailer wheel bearing oil, 75W90 75W140 gear oil?
How to drain, pump out or siphon the fuel out? Can't get a hose down the fuel filler far enough to siphon. Don't want to disconnect one of the special fuel line fittings unnecessarily to pump the fuel out. Only way I saw was to pull the fuel pump or guage sender and siphon from there.
Oil filter part #? (too lazy to pull the panel off twice!)
Fuel filter location? In tank? Part #?
15W40 in the V drive, right?
Can you hook up a raw water source (tee) into the raw water intake line to run it out of water (works well on my '96)?
Vynil is either dirty or stained (brown) on the sunpad and top of the front seat cushion (white vynil). PO took it to a detail shop and they said it's actually some color transfer from the black cover being on it in the sun for extended periods and that a couple days good sun exposure will lighten it up and make it easier to clean. Tried a magic eraser and it cleaned it up maybe 50%, but that's alot of SF of vynil to scrub. To me it just looks dirty, because it's more brown than gray (black cover). Tried vynil cleaner, 303, oxy upholstery cleaner, they didn't work. Any miracle solutions here? Will have it in the sun this weekend and next, maybe that'll help.
Thanks for any help here - Thrall

Don't know about the parts questions, but when I bought my X1, it had stains all over the sunpad from the shrink wrap and they were a biotch to get off. It took 303, magic erasers, tons of elbow grease and a lot of time to finally get them off. Be prepared to do it over and over again.

Raw water impeller hasn't changed as far as I know.
Oil filter is the Pennzoil PZ-3 equivalent (I get the parts guy to cross reference it at the parts store)
Same oil as the engine in the transmission, I recommend the Rotella, but any HD 15w40 will work as long as it meets the duty ratings (have used the Castrol Diesel oil before with success). Fuel filter is in tank, don't have the part number handy.
When I run it out of the water, I actually use 1.5 inch tubing that I connect directly onto the raw water pump and run it into a bucket (I use a big cooler) of water. Even idling, the engine needs to pull more water than your house hose can supply, fill up the bucket, start the engine and run it until the bucket is empty, shut it off, wait to fill the bucket back up, run the boat again.
If you are trying to heat the block up to change the oil, the easiest way is to just empty the oil after you get back from the lake. they take a long time to cool off and the oil will come out nicely even after an hour since it's been run.
For the vinyl, keep with the elbow grease. The magic eraser will work, but make sure you put some 303 or some other conditioner after you are done, the harsh chemicals will dry out the vinyl.

If your ballast pump impellers are the black ones, I recommend changing to the newer yellow ones, which are softer and more pliable. I had constant problems with the ballast pumps on my 05 X-2 until I switched from black to yellow impellers. No more problems.

Thanks for the heads up. Not sure what's in the boat, but they're the orig ones from 06 and all work fine. Just ordered replacements from Skidim, pic of them looked black. I'll check into it. I'm presuming the port and starboard pumps are under teh back storage floor(s)????
Got all the filter #'s thanks for the help. WOrking on warranty on a couple fabulous GY Marathons and contacted Reliable axle about better bearing cap/sight glasses.
Got a Flush Pro ordered too, to run it in the driveway.
Keep working on the vynil. Gonna see if being out in the sun for a few days will break down the stains (a shop that the PO took it to said the UV rays would fade it and make easier to remove:confused:).
How can I get the fuel out of this thing???? Right now it looks like a 12' siphon hose and pulling something off the top of the tank to get in.

i think everyone is now switching over to the green impellers. the yellow ones allowed back flow to easy. sorry!;)

WHat's the color going to be next week so I can get ahead of the game?
Really dying to find an easy way to get the fuel out of this thing!

OK, I'm going to tell you what I used on the vynil that was quick and easy but I'm pretty sure I'm going to get blaseted for saying this. I had the exact same marks in the same locations and tried all the things you're doing. Made things better but didn't make the stains/marks or whatever they were go away.
While getting out some hard water marks and black marks off the fiberglass with some Mother's cleaner wax some accidently dripped on the vynil when the bottle fell over. Some of the wax had started to dry so I had to wipe and rub it to remove it from the vynil. To my surprise the wax (or probably more correct the cleaner in the wax) took the dark marks off the vynil really quick. I followed the cleaner wax with several applications of 303 over he next few days. I normally wouldn't even begin to think about using this type product on the vynil but after seeing the results of the area where the wax had spilled I decided to do the rest. It worked absolutely great. Can't tell at all where the marks were.
The cleaner wax didn't seem to scuff up the vynil and I've seen no problems in the areas since doing this 2 months ago.
Can't openly recommend you do the same as I wouldn't want to recommend something I'm sure MC wouldn't support. If you do try it start with a small area and se if it works for you.

Thrall, the pumps are behind the panels in the rear storage compartments, actually very easy to access and change (unlike the engine impeller).
Fyi, the resettable fuses for all of the pumps are under the back seats, big black box with 3 white buttons on it.

Ttu, thanks for the info. I guess I was out of date. Black gave me constant problems (wouldn't fill, wouldn't empty). Yellow has worked great for me, but if I need new ones, I'll go green.

Why don't you just run the boat? What is wrong with the fuel in the boat?

bturner, I will try that. Thanks for the suggestion.
Datdude and woftam. I could run it, but it's already down about 6-800rpms on the top end. I'm sure at least half of it is the way it's propped because I'm at high altitude, but 6 month old gas (who knows what he even put in it...87 octane..89...?) has to be contributing to loss of top end.
Was always easy to pump the old gas out of my 190 just by unscrewing the fuel line at the filter and running 12V to the fuel pump. I'm just gonna pull teh fuel guage sender out and siphon from there.

I agree...I'd just fill it up the rest of the way with fresh 91 octane ethanol and run it. But if you're going to change the fuel filter, you have to remove the pump module anyway, so just drop an old garden hose in it through that opening and siphon away. Don't forget to pick up a new fuel pump module gasket while you're getting the new filter.
If it makes you feel better, dump some of that enzymatic fuel treatment (Startron or something like that). Their advertisements say it's really good stuff!

Personally, I wouldn't bother with a Flush Pro unless you were going to run it in the driveway a lot (ie...had the need to actually flush it). For occasional running, such as for once-a-year oil change in the driveway, I'd just go make a $5 fitting to slip over the raw water intake on your raw water pump. Like this, only slip a piece of 1 1/4 inch Spa tubing over the end to fit over the RW intake on the pump.
http://mccollister.info/fitting.jpg
If you do need to flush it a lot (ie saltwater), I'd skip the Flush Pro, which is known to be..uh..problematic (breakage, one-way valve getting stuck from sucking a weed in) and I'd install this Forespar (http://www.forespar.com/onlineCatalog/2009/Marelon/marelon_engineFlushOut2009.shtml) thing
http://www.forespar.com/onlineCatalog/images/43-engineFlushOutValve.jpg
If you don't like the plastic intake fitting, you can replace it on the Forespar with a Perko bronze intake, or make your own fitting like Tom023 did:

Or simpler yet for occasional running in the driveway (MacAttack's idea)

The big reason I have never liked the hose directly attached to the engine is that if the hose isn't STRONG, it'll collapse and pinch off the water supply. I've got great water pressure, but it's still not enough to give what the engine needs.
These are my experiences, your mileage may vary.
