Yes, I have one and have removed the drive shaft more than one time and replaced the strut bearings once. Works just like it is suppose to. I couldn't imagine doing the job any other way now.

I made one myself with a threaded bar that has the same threads as the shaft threads, a couple of nuts and a sylinder that goes on the bar to bang with, does the same job. The nut should be long since it has to go on both the shaft and the threaded bar. Pretty pricy that tool.

The strut bearing you could remove by prying a screwdriver in between the bearing and the strut to bend it inwards, the you can cut it and pull it out easily. There will be some scrathes in the strut with this method, but if it's better to bang like crazy to get them out I dont know. Cool the new ones down and bang them in from each side, worked well for me. Cheap method;-)
