So I am filling my tank the other day with a 6 gallon can. The boat is on a lift, pretty far from the only gas on the lake. So I walk a few of these down every time I go out. As I am filling it - the nozzle on the 6 gallon tank comes off and goes down into the gas tank on my 99 Maristar 230.
*** now?
Doesn't seem to be messing anything up, but clearly I'd like to get it out of there. Any idea?

One of these (http://toolmonger.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/Retriever%20tool.jpg) should work

If it is not causing any problems I would wait until you are due for a fuel filter change (which is such a pain to get to that you are probably due for it). When you change the filter you will be able to reach into the tank and get the nozzle out. I would recommend changing the fuel filter when the tank is below 1/2 so you don't have so much fuel to work around. There are lots of threads on here that explain how to change the in tank fuel filter.:twocents:
