Well, that was a scary two weeks. Looks like MC got World Record Slalom Boat designation back.

Chris Parrish ran 2@43 off at a tournament at Trophy Lakes this weekend. :worthy:

/Brian, hope you decided to go.

Brian, hope you decided to go.

Nope, didn't make it down to John's Island for this one. I was having to much fun on my own boat. Glad to see I have a boat made by a world record company and bindings as well.

Actually pulled into the gas station on the way home Saturday and pulled into the pump next to a 91 PS190. I couldn't believe it. I go to this station all the time on my way back from the river and never see any ski boats, ever. Talked to the guy for a few minutes he lives a long way away. But, he mentioned the event to me.

A little bit.

Not as convenient as the old ones, just step in and go. I used to put the old ones on in the water. I am starting to like how they feel after I pull them tight. It may take a little time. Its certainly not hurting performance.

You graduated to putting the ski on on the platform yet? Once I got used to it, I don't know how I ever got a double boot on in the water (even the old school boots).

Sure did. I havenít tried putting it on in the water yet. Donít think I will. Iím lucky I can get it off, in the water, after a run..

They get easier to get on and off after you break them in a bit.

I broke the Mens 4 Course record at Lake Greeson last week (pending IWSF review of the tapes and boat path data) 2 @ 15 off :toast:

...course I did it behind a Mastercraft and I had a fill in boat driver (makes me wonder if the Wildman's been giving me hot pulls????)

Okay. We're putting the course in (water depth permitting) this weekend. Got some heavy hitters coming in, so the course record of 1@15 off will probably fall this weekend. :purplaugh

My first time out with the Sixam I had to force myself to put them on for the second run. Its getting better though. Iím going to try to make them work, mostly because itís the second set of bindings I bought for it, (Iím running out of binding storage space). The first set of bindings are the Animals that donít fit. The Bios may still may end up on the binding shelf..

I may want to give a rear BIO a try. I am sending my front one back this week to exchange the M for a S.

Does anybody have a link to a article about the new record?

Oh,

Was it the dbl boot? How did you like the ski and what are you skiing on now??

Denny, My crew is getting used to the rear, but I donít think its because they can get all of the way in. They are getting used to using it the way it is??

I read about it on the Nicholl's board. Brief reference to it on skifly.com. I'll post links to articles and pictures when I see them.

Bindings or the ski?

Threadjack commencing!

I hated the bindings but the ski was pretty nice. It was definitely different than a Goode. The first time in the open water I didn't really like it, it seemed to be one of those skis that turned by yaw instead of carving. I quickly figured out that it had a great onside turn, angle off the second wake, and seemed to stay out in front well. It got better in the course though - that thing loves buoys. It was very friendly but for the two days I had it (don't get me started on that demo policy) I couldn't see enough potential to buy it. I ran 3 at 32 off (34 mph) at best, then gave it back and immediately ran that pass on the trusty 9100. Now there's a 9600 in the mail. If that dealer doesn't get a Monza this week and I like the 9600 I may not even bother with it. Three guys in my club rave about their 9600s so we'll see if it passes the test. I got it from Schnitz and he threw in a slot fin so I'll have that to play with also.

That's okay about the threadjack. It's my thread and I participated in said threadjack by asking the question. I had a pair of O'Brien contact boots on my last two skis and liked them just fine (just giving Mark some other ideas).

Well I'll go ahead and take credit for the record being broken. I skied (took a lesson) at Trophy Lakes this past Thursday. Chris Parrish was on shore watching at the time. He must have been inspired!

Do you think he'll split that 25K with me?

Way to inspire, Mr. Wheat! Why do you think they make those oversized, novelty checks so big? To share them, of course.

Okay, there's a couple of pictures on the Nicholl's Board (http://waterski.nicholls.edu/waterski/). They're under the "Record Pic" thread.
