me and Mabel went out for a little boat ride today.

I keep telling her I need to get a mastercraft :(

but she keeps saying "we don't ski"

we bought the ol 72 Glasspar Trihull back in 76 when she used to be a lot more mobile.

I got stuck working this weekend. We had a really bad storm right in the middle of the afternoon, but then it cleared up and got really nice out. Probably upper 80's and sunny! Wish I could have been on the lake after the storm cleared. Probably was dead and the water would have been great

Went out yesterday and today. We got rained on out there yesterday but it didn't dampen our spirit. Slalomed, wakeboarded, kneeboard battles, you name it.

I poored some new concrete anchors for the course this week, about 100 lbs each.
A boat dragged one of them for 300 feets today before my 1/8 bungee cord broke.
Would have like to see the look on the guy's face when his boat began to slow down....
Perfect Pass works...Perfect and seems to pick up every magnets so far.Didn't have time to go deeper into calibration but the thing sure hold speed great!!!

Baby Preparation class all day long, water test in the boat this evening. Long day!

We just did the all-day-long defensive driving version of the class a few weeks ago. Brutal, but useful. Probably could've condensed it into 4 hours IMO.

Back on topic, did work around the house all weekend preparing for 12 days at the lake starting Friday. :steering:

It is a blast

She made me a proud man.. Not only the skiing thing but as we sat waiting for the little corner of the lake that we decided to use, to clear out of traffic, she looked at me and said. “hey daddy, we should think about getting to the lake really really early“. I love that kind of talk.

I guess I push my ski crew to go “early”.. They do realize its better to be exiting as the zoo opens. We left early to get to WV when everything nearby was flooded. Other than that we hit the water 7/730

We weren't around yesterday either on the water. No rain and the temp was almost 90 and no humidity for once. It was perfect, didn't even need a towel to dry off it was so nice. The water was almost perfect had a coulpe of jet skies tearing up the back of the lake.
