The M on the chome "MasterCraft" decal on the side of the boat came off today. Pissed! Anyone have this problem? Do I have to buy the whole set of letters?

If the boat is still under warranty, the dealer may replace the decal, otherwise you will have to buy a complete decal.

Yup, lost the M on my '09 this week too. And yup, when I was pulling it out at the ramp some guy and his wife were launching next to me and she giggled, it says "a$$-tercraft".

As #1 said, if you don't get it covered under warranty, you have to buy a whole decal.

I've had 3 boats in 3 years and they have all lost letters. Best to get a set and replace them as necessary. Only a few will fail has been my experience. Last year I had a "ma's craft".

I think it's not a bad idea to cover the lettered area in some of that translucent plastic film. That way you can be sure that:
1 Non of them are going to come off
2 It will cut down on sun fading of the side of the boat
3 It will make it easier to clean at the end of the season (just peel the lake gunk off.

Consider it like a wrap, but a real cool, clear wrap!!!

I think a Master raft would be kinda cool though.

weirdest thing is that my 91 still has the same decals in the same spot when it came out of the factory

When you re-do the sticker, you can invert the M and make it a WasterCraft. That would be unique.

The older non drip molded stickers never peeled off the way the drip molded ones do.

I just bought new Updated Graphics for my Maristar. Is there a better way to apply them?

a few of mine came off last summer from surfing the good part was i had the boat for less than two months so MC warranted them. when the new ones came in i made sure to use a good wax remover (acetone) and havent had a problem sense.

Where you are going to apply the new decals, clean the wax off with plenty of alcohol, gas or lacquer thinner or they won't stay stuck. Then re-wax around them after they are applied.:twocents:
