We had some wicked storms roll through here last week, missed my place but one of our own was not so lucky!

Note the strap on the bow, this boat was IN the garage!!!
That almost jerked a tear out of me. Where is the trailer? I also noticed quite a bit of siding missing from the house in the background. Hope everyone is safe!

Wow, that sucks. Amazing how much power those storms have behind them. I'll take a earth quake any day
Wow, How did it end up there. was it blown clean off the trailer or what. Hope the guys insurance is good.

Wow, that's tough to look at.
Those were some pretty good storms that rolled through. Luckily my baby was safe from it all! Hope that is all the BAD storms we get for the year in our area. I can do without them.....

That makes my stomach hurt to look at it. No mention, but I hope no one got hurt.
Thankfully mine was safe and sound sitting on the trailer in the driveway.
Wow, again hope all are safe! That is crazy.
Bad time to ask. However what happens now? Do you part out the pieces? Is it repairable? Does the insurance company come and take it away. There are plenty of misc. parts that are still good. For example. the small black button covers. Those are impossible to find and you probably have 15 -20? Just curious?

I would think the insurers get the boat -and the black button covers.;).

Yeah, my guess is insurance gets the boat. I only got the pictures to help establish some sort of value on the boat (pre storm damage) Can't imagine the boat won't be totalled out.
To the best of my knowledge nobody was injured!!!

Abe,
I thinking, you were picking up what I was putting down!

Covi, just go to a local upholstery shop. I had new buttons made for $1 each...I chose from several different shades of vinyl so bring something in to match. Lots of applications for those buttons in the upholstery world, so I have to think they're readily available everywhere and not just in my small town.
As with the others, it makes me sick to see the boat tossed around like that. I like how the guy in the first picture is holding a prop puller...is that you Corey?

I think with some teak oil and a little rubbing compound you should be back in business.

I can't take this. I keep coming back to look at the pics one more time. What a sad day.

Ouch! My first though is " I could fix that"... although it's probably got some extensive stress cracking in the glass, and the cost of a new windshield alone makes is a losing proposition financially.
Have a close look at the angle of the shaft. Looks like the engine came loose from the stringers and is hanging from the shaft coupling... nearly makes my stomach turn.
Hopefully it was insured, but $ won't necessarily replace such a classic.
My condolences to the owner.

Looks like the owner's name is Alan, and he's taking offers on the remains of the boat and trailer.

I bought this boat with the intentions to cut the bow/deck off and turn it into a bar pub table, cut the back off and turn it into a bench for the garage, and to cut one side off to hang in the garage w/ the logo and a few stars on each side. The rest will get cut up and end up with Waste Management. So, in preparation for this surgery, I have completely gutted the boat and have some parts for sale on eBay to help pay for this project. Please take a look http://motors.shop.ebay.com/minaquawi/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=
I'll post pictures of the project once the cutting begins.
