My wife has a 1993 pro star 190. With factory installed in dash depth finder, it quit reading several weeks ago. Head unit has power and displays ft when boat in on but no reading. From what I have read the transduser has probably lost contact with hull?? I have looked for the transducer on the hull around the engine and under the front floor plate. any idea where they mounded the transducer, before I start pulling up all of the floor.

I just found mine under the floor (94' 205), behind the engine, next to the rear drive shaft. Actually not as difficult as I thought to get to. I removed the hydraulic lifts for the engine hatch and the 4 bolts for the floorboard. Lifted the engine cover and floor board off together and you then have access to the puck. Mine doesn't work too well either. I just get periodic numbers flashing when it "feels" like it. Pretty much useless. I plan on replacing it in the fall with a new unit (puck and guage).

That is what hers did for a while then quit all together. Thanks I'll look under the back pannel next.

it should be under the back panel to the right of the drive shaft

Should most likely be next to the stuffing box/shaft log,

the location depends on the owner that put it there because it was likely not a factory option. i put mine near the packing nut on my 93 so yours is probable back there too as others have said also.
