97 Prostar 190 with GM 350 motor - when running throttle wide open boat hesitates at approx 2800rpm and will regain speed/increase rpm when throttle is backed off and increased slowly. Seems to be worse under load. Replaced distributor cap, rotor and plugs as well as fuel filter and didn't notice much improvement other than now it makes it to about 3000 rpm before issues start.

I have the same problem with my 1998, 190 with the 5.7L vortec. I replaced all these also. I did replace the hose that is under the injectors. I think it is the vacuum hose. it didn’t do it for a while but I really didn’t put it under a load during that time. After some time off I took it back out to ride and it was doing it then. It is worse when I go into turns or take off or I am going across the lake at high speeds.
