I have been tracking the hours on my new boat this summer.
I have realized that each hour on a boat is generally an hour of fun.
I now think of my hour meeter as a fun tracker.
The more hours I put on my boat - the more fun I have.
Having the boat sit on the trailer isn't much fun.
I read on a post that an engine will run around 2000 hours before needing to be rebuilt.
I am jealous of someone with 2000 hours on their own engine.
That should represent 2000 hours of fun.
I hope to rack up that much fun in my boat. Right now, I have a long way to go.

I've really struggled with finding people to ski with but this year I've found 2 great guys that love to ski and have been out at least 2-3 times a week and just watching that hour meter roll. Been having so much fun running the course I've scheduled ski lessons again for Trophy Lakes on the 22nd.

Too much fun to even imagine over the last 22 years. This was in mid July, now has 1021 hours. I bought it new in 87 and it's still the greatest, it's a MasterCraft.

seeing that pic made me remember something...i think i had problems with just about every gage on my dash except that stinkin' hour meter. it always seemed to work just fine.

Just saw my hour meter tonight -- 421 hours. Bought it 13 months ago at 280 hours. Will have maybe 460 by the time we put her up this season. And that doesn't count the hours of fun spent at anchor, etc, with no engine hours piling up...

96 PS 190 Just broke the 2000 hr. mark. Salt water boat to boot. Wish I put an hour meter on the motor box for everytime I did the motor box bingo! Nothing like the great outdoors!

My 2 y/o boat has 125 hrs or so on it and obviously that is just a measure of how long the engine has been running- actual "good times" hours of being on the boat, blasting the radio with a few cold ones is more like 500 realistically. So those folks with 2000 hours are probably looking more like 4000-5000 fun hours! That would come out to being on the boat 24/7 for 6 months!

87 Tristar I hate to trump you but my 22 year old boat that I also bought brand new has 1,495 hours on it and I hope to be well past 1,500 before I put it away.
