Hey guys. Just wanted to post about Ride the Wake for Kids' Sake. If you are not familiar. A group of us ski from Pere Marquette State Park near St. Louis to Chillicothe, IL on the Illinois River to raise funds for Children's Hospital of Illinois. This year's event is Friday August 7th. If anyone is interested in donating, send me a PM, and I'll get you the details. If you live in the area, come to the Chillicothe riverfront to welcome us in! Many of us ski about 100 miles apiece that day. Tiring, but worth it.

Hey today is the day. Great thing your family and friends are doing, wish you all good luck and a safe trip. Always glad to give to the Children's Hospital of Illinois. Oh no a Cub fan helping a Cardinals fan what will be next !!! :rolleyes: :D

Maybe it's Armageddon with the Cubs/Cards thing! Thanks for helping out again this year. My wife and I with the help of friends and family have raised about $3000 again this year and counting. Should be around $10000 for the whole group again this year. I hope to post some pics here when I get them. I was too busy skiing to take pics!
We had a rough weather year with a lot of wind and rain, but we made it the 180 some odd miles in about 11 1/2 hours. A little sore today, but I'll be back skiing in a day or so!
