I have one of the 197 TT boats from last year and it has the low-profile trailer with the chrome KMC wheels. I've been trying to find a matching spare to have on hand as my trailer did not come with one. The wheels that came on my trailer are the KMC Badlands (779) 18X9, 5 Lug/4.5 spacing with a +18mm offset. As it turns out, according to KMC, Mastercraft changed the specification on the wheel from a +18 to a +8 offset (effectively giving the trailer a wider footprint by 1cm all the way around).

According to KMC and the middleman supplier to Mastercraft, the +18 wheels are no longer available and are no longer in production.

I'm wondering if anyone on here either has some they want to sell -OR- has knowledge of where I might be able to find one or possibly 2 (just in case) ...Because I sure as heck don't want to buy 5 wheels.

Thanks!

I have an email into Carly as Mike is out. The MC part number is 650615 (Left or Right) and they want $814!!! What I'm trying to find out is whether that price is for 1 or 2 wheels...

I fear it is 1 wheel/tire which is a little more than $400 markup from normal retail.

I guess that you'll just have to use a spare off a 1988 Chrysler Le Baron then.

great idea. Why didn't I think of that?

Do these look familiar? This is for four however. Ask seller if he has singles. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/KMC-Wheels-XD-779-Badlands-8x170-18x9-Chrome-FORD-18_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2em20Q2el1116QQ hashZitem35a23cd7c7QQitemZ230355163079QQptZMotorsQ 5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

I did... about a month ago to get a price. Do you work there? What I'm trying to find out now is whether that price is for two... 8 hundie sounds about right for two.

Reason I think it could be 2 is because the part number reads, wheels/tires-left or wheels/tires-right. They are directional tires which is why there is a left and right designation.

For $800 a pop I would find a different set of wheels that are better looking for the same price for an entire set. $800 a wheel is just STUPID!

MC uses a 5 lug/114mm bolt spacing... those are 8 lug/170mm.

Sorry, I saw a 5 lug but must have clicked the wrong one! 5 lug Ford was what I was searching. MC uses a 5 lug/114mm bolt spacing... those are 8 lug/170mm.

That's where my head is at too. To be clear...I WILL NOT be paying $800 for any single wheel. The trouble lies in finding something that has a large enough center bore for the oil bath bearings. The KMC wheel is a great looking wheel. I get more comments about the trailer than I do the boat!

I tried this search and went through the order process. I never received an out of stock message but the were $379 plus shipping of $15.00 or so. Here is the link I do not know about the offset.http://www.buywheelstoday.com/products/Badlands+%28XD779%29+Chrome.bwt

Thanks for helping me look! :)

That's the automotive version of the wheel (XD77989012218 18X9 +18 5/114.3). It would be perfect except the center bore is about 1cm too small for the bearing. KMC made a special MC version of this wheel, but it is no longer in production in the +18 offset...only the +8.

I know way too much about this stuff, but there's nothing worse than buying the wrong thing and having to return it.

Why not buy that wheel and take it to a machine shop to have the center hole enlarged? Should cost but a few bucks.

$800 is expensive, but doesn't surprise me. I paid $380 for a spare tire/ wheel for my SA trailer 2 years ago and it's just the standard 15" aluminum.
