Saw this yesterday about 1/4 mile from the sandbar on Lake Harding. No one seems to know who's it is and there wasn't anyone around it the 4 times we passed by. DNR was up there but didn't do anything about it.

Looks like someone may have been behind on the payments and said, "Hey insurance co., someone stole my boat and sank it, I'll take what's left of the money after the loan is paid off!":D

I kind of thought that at first but, wouldn't you want to sink in deeper waters? 8p

My guess is they didn't want to be caught in it until they were sober. I guess DUIs are more expensive than 20' Outlaws now... Boy, that sure is a fitting name.

Makes for a great barefoot ramp, if nothing else ...

I don't think it matters how deep it is if it all goes under!!!

Not if it has flotation foam in it. They probably didn't realize that.

It could be saved with about a $5000, or at least thats what it took to bring my old X-Star back.

Update: I was told that the out-drive broke off and the boat flooded. I was also told that the owner recovered on tuesaday that week. I see if he shows up in the next month or so.

HOW did the outdrive break off and who was driving it?

Yea, you have got to really smack a lower unit to get it to come off the boat.

I believe it was the owner driving and I'm under the impression that he had done some home repairs to the out-drive. I'm getting all of this 3rd or 4th hand so I'm not to clear on the entire event. The boat used to come up to the sand bar every weekend so it it returns I find out from the owner.
