So I'm taking the family to Las Vegas for a week. I was wondering if you guys had some info on shows and maybe even some family events that are a must see. I have been to Vegas, but it has been 10 years so I am sure that things have changed. The wife and I will be kid free at night so we will be looking to party and catch a show or two!!!! Any info I can get would be great!!!!!!:D

Yes we have!!!!!!

You should have told me. I only got like 10 trips totaling up almost a year. You have got to see one of the Cirque shows and Wayne Newton. The pirate ship show at Treasure Island is good for the kiddos and the universal studios thing is pretty cool. They have a wet and wild there that would be good. If you can make one of the Grand Canyon trips go to that. For seafood the Rio is the place to go for buffet but my personnel choice is Wed night all you can eat crab legs at Hush Puppies. The new casinos are really nice especially the Wynn. I have been to the blue man group show an it was awesome. They have the tigers at the MGM and the Sigfred and Roy Gardens that are cool. There is a shark tank at the Luxor and dont forget to watch the water show at the Bellagio. Let me know what you are lookign for and we can hook you up. In the shop right now we probably have about 50 trips in total.

Apparently, it's just fine to walk around with your family and child in a stroller at around 2am. We saw plenty of this when I was there in June. Parents of the year I tell ya.

Lots of fun stuff to see. Keep blindfolds handy when the local "Talent" walks by. Kids just don't need to see that stuff. after dark you'll want to catch the various hotel displays on the strip. The Bellagio water show. the Treasure Island Fire show. I think they are every hour on the hour. Maybe even every half hour during prime time. Walk through the MGM grand and see the tigers. But again bring the blind fold for the kids... (The male mounted the female while we where there... pretty funny)

Where are you staying?

We are staying at the Hilton Grand VC on the strip!

I'm going to vegas in a couple weeks so do some good recon. Though my trip will likely be the opposite of anything remotely related to a family trip. ;)

JD if you want cheaper good times go out in and around UNLV. The strip to me is overhyped and overrated.

Nothing says "Family Time" like a place that advertises its decadence with the saying "What goes on in Vegas, stays in Vegas".

If you want to do a little hiking and see some petroglyphs, cool rock formations and scenery, Valley Of Fire is pretty interesting. Lake Mead isn't far away, either.

Last year went to Blue Man Group which was awesome. This last March we saw V the Ultimate Variety show, which was hilarious(but the acts supposedly change all the time), small theater but definitely recommend(I don't remember anything that wasn't kid friendly but I also don't remember any kids in the theater). Also saw the hypnotist show in the same theater after V(adult's only and hilarious). Same trip saw Lance Burton, which the kids would probably like, but we didn't enjoy all that much.

Gone to the Circus Circus dome several times for the rollercoaster and other rides, some of my friends love the rides on top of the stratosphere(but I've never been). The NYNY rollercoaster was a rough ride when I went(years ago, i would imagine it is worse now), not worth the $ IMO.

I saw Dr. Naughty, the X-Rated hypnotist, a few years back. Funniest thing I've EVER seen!
Who's gonna be watching the kido's?
