First let me start off by saying this is the best site online! The people and administration are great. I do have a couple of questions about the new user agreement. What is TT's definition of "defames" and "dealt with swiftly." What if I have an issue with my dealer here and they do not respond? I then attempt to contact MC and I am not happy with their help? If I ask for help or voice my displeasure here, will I be banished to www.suckmywake.com? I am not trying to be a jerk(people say I can be one)here. I just am asking for clarification. Oh yeah-one more-If i put a pic on the swimsuit thread of me in a speedo-would I be kicked off for being "Obscene or Pornographic? Like I stated above-Best site online! Keep up the good work!

One of the best benefits I have ever had is participation in group buys.
It is to bad we cannot still have these.

I'm not the author of the new rules but I will throw in my two cents. Hopefully Jason Boertje can add as well.

I really think that it comes down to commen sense. This site is meant to be used by people of all ages (13+) and needs to remain a friendly environment.

Pictures of people in bathind suits are fine. But pics of girls in thongs in certain postures can be pushing it.

"Defames" is in reference to promoting negativity. If you are not happy with an experience - use the contacts page. Someone will read your message and help you out. Don't get on here and bash. We want the site to be constructive and help situations be better in the future. As Jason B. said - being unhappy about something and expressing that is fine. But be constructive when you post.

Yes I liked the group buys as much as the next person but this is what MC has asked us to do.

If you don't follow the rules you will more than likely get a pm from me giving you a warning and explaining the issue. After that - if you pursist in not following the guidlines I do have the ability to ban users but let's just say we don't need to do anything like that.

Good to have the site back up. I thought the new rules were Erkle's fault.

I hope with the new rules on posting this means the dealers and Mastercraft will handle problem boats in a more satisfactory manner than some of the past post have expressed. If the customer service is more responsive there is no need for negative post. I give MC props for taking the high road.

Hey Tex:

This is Jason B. giving his 2 cents. Thanks for the questions guys. Hopefully I can address this for you in addition to what TT Admin has already said.

1) As for "defaming", as TT Admin said, we simply define defaming as moving from constructive criticism to attacks. For example, it is absolutely ok to post "I went to dealer X and unfortunately did not have a great experience. They were rude to me and did not try to help me out very much, etc." Where the line is crossed is if people take this approach: "I went to dealer X and unfortunately did not have a great experience. These idiots were rude to me and I think they need to be put out of their misery. MasterCraft should do something about them and if they don't, MasterCraft is a idiotic as they are." One is constructive and one is attack. All we are asking is that you help us keep this board a positive environment through good and bad. And that is why we put the contacts page up... if you really are upset and want to "scream" about us, a dealer (or Tool's wife), let us know through the contacts page so we can make sure you are taken care of. In terms of dealing with these posts, we will be as fair as we can. In that light, we will place a warning on that particular thread first letting everyone know it is going in a negative direction. If it happens to continue we will delete the thread. However, you guys are a great community and we don't expect to have many issues concerning this.

2) As for the speedo, we will just have to see if that is obscene!! TT Admin covered that well though

3) As for group buys, those are simply the wishes of the company

Again thanks for the support. You guys have made this the best site out there for ski/wake enthusiasts.

Jason

I think keeping things constructive is a good rule of thumb all the way around. In other words, constructive criticism of a dealer is preferable to just blasting them. I hope the same applies when a dealer posts something that is less than constructive.

/ducks and covers.

Thanks for the upgrade TMC and TTAdmin!
The new contacts page seems to be working well. I submitted a request for a Manual and got a reply saying one will be sent soon.

I've never thought about that. TMC - here come the mass requests for manuals. I'm guessing the project of archiving manuals into digital format will soon be moved up on the priority list. :purplaugh

Jason and TT-Thanks for the quick response. I agree with the "common sense" statement. No need to worry about the "speedo" issue. I usually wear a jump/barefoot suit. Thanks again!-Tex
