Okay, so it's softcore engine porn. Adding about 100hp to the GMPP 290hp 350 crate engine I've got in one of the Jeeps. Gotta love the yellow springs.

Lots of nice pics here http://www.stancraftboats.com/styles.html

Very nice boats......I got to see John Elway's 36' Missle this past summer. Amazing craftmanship, the Stancraft guys said they had over 4000 man hours in it during construction. Twin 700 horse V10 Viper motors.......hand made, of course.

351 - need new manifold covers as they have some surface rust, other than that - still going strong after 20 years.

I snapped a few pics of some nice engine set-ups at the Ft. Lauderdale boat show a couple weeks ago. First time at this show and I think it was more impressive than the Miami show. Saw a yacht for sale for the bargain price of $150Mill. Mastercraft had a good in water display of the usual boats but my camera battery had died by the time I got to it so I don't have any pics.

My 87 Powerslot that I sold a few years ago. The motor was a mess when I bought it. Used it the first summer "as is" and then pulled the motor in the fall. Compression was good so all I did was re-gasket every thing and dressed it up. Used stainless hardware where it was possible. My wife asked "Why?". It's a guy thing, she would never understand.

The 1350's are bad! Twin turbo and some guys are even doing 3D and CAD to incorporate the intakes into the hull design. Cool stuff for sure!

I was holding the tattle tale when he started it that is why the boost was weird looking. Picture was not taken at speed. Tattle tale recalls peak speed until it is reset. It is stupid fast but very stable. Top speed for this boat is 152 I have been to 145 in it.

Little boat + big engine = a LOT of fun.

A guy on our lake has a boat like that and he only takes it out on the water a few times during the summer. Putts around about 30 MPH....what a waste!!
