First time post long time reader, I was wonder if you guys could help me or point me in the right direction. I have a 91' 190 I recently puchased a bimini for it, the web site told me what size I needed, so just to make sure called and that was the correct part #.
Now that I got it in I cannot for the life of me figure out a good/safe way to put it on, I called them back and they said it mounts to the gull wing (?) after looking in the Prostar thread I think they are talking about the metal rail thats around the windshield.
I was wondering if anyone had a close-up picture of your mounting set up or what hardwear you used to mount it to the windshield, on or near this year model, Thanks for all your help.

Here's how / where I mounted the bimini in my 96.

Do not have a good picture of it on my 94, but here are a few with the mounts in the background.

This one it is on the black windshield frame to the left of the pylon, the silver triangular looking piece.

Here is one with it in the upper right of the picture, again, on the windshield frame.

There is a plastic piece under the mount that levels it, it is hard to see in the picture. It looks to be screwed in with two sheet metal screws on each mount of some kind.

It will also depend on what type of bimini you have, what type is yours?

Hopefully someone will come along with more detail, hope this helps some.

I have a 91 PS190 and mine is attached to the fiber glass just behind the windshield and has strap that go to the front and back to keep it tight. I wouldn't want to drill holes in the fiberglass so I like the installation into the metal, I didn't have to install mine.
Here is the only picture I have at work. PM me if you want to see more.

It came with the mounting brackets like the one in the first picture on the 96' but thats were I messed up I did not measure that width I went with what they said, it will spread that far but its in a bind, I was wanting to mount it like Craig but I've read on this site, if you dont watch it you could damage /bust the windshield, Jmann do you have any close ups of yours, thanks again for your help guys.
I ordered the top from boat cover direct, sunbrella, I thinks thats how you spell it.

Sorry it took so long to respond my wife and I had our first kid on Friday the 17th.

Here are a couple of pics.

1) You can see where the pivot point is mounted right next to the wind shield on the flat area.

[/I]

2) there is a hook on the bow to attached the strap from the top

3) There is also a hook on the side to attached the back strap from the top.

The top works great but the top won't go forward over the wind shield only towards the back.

I have mine mounted exactly the same. No worries of hitting glass if you drill through where the rubber is.

Liek BrianM said, make sure you know how far down teh glass extends into the frame. Don't want to drill the glass, or you'll be replacing it.

On our 93, it was mounted to the windshield frame. Worked well and looked nice.

Thanks for your help guys I ended up mounting it like JMann, I was worried about getting into the glass if I put it on the windshield frame, again thanks for all your help, and atlfootr as soon as I can figure how to post a picture I will put one up.

finally finshed making adjustments to bimini on 2000 Maristar. Wanting to be able to store bimini in boat with the option of having it extended or folded in boot, i replaced straps in rear with adjustable supports. This allows bimini to be stored in an upright posistion when boating, if i don't want the shade, and also i can fold flat when trailering.

still need to purchase boot and while pictures show bimini to be angled forwarded, i will add longer straps to front to level bimini out a bit.
