Looking to purchase a 1985 S&S and wonder if they came from the factory without stars? He's sending me more pictures later.

This is my first post and hope to have a nice S&S soon.

Thanks

The 85 is a solid year model boat. I have had several of them.

That's kinda what I figured, but didn't know if they had a "Special Edition" or something without them. Hopefully it works out and I get it. It has 440 hours on it and all original. It's 900 miles from where I live, but I got a buddy who's unemployed and has a f350 Diesel who could use the extra $$$ and go get it for me. I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks

That's a good looking boat. If you buy it, I would get some stars though. Like was stated earlier, the MC logo and stars are just decals. The stripes are in the gelcoat. I'm thinking the guy had some damaged decals, or buffed them too much and decided to take them all off.

Thanks Where is the boat located to be 900 miles from the Rockies. Just curious.

Yep, As my wife says, I'm a pretty impatient guy. LOL I had the day off and searched all day online. I feel I got a good boat for a decent deal. We have friends getting in town on Wednesday and wanted to entertain them on the lake.

Good luck with your boat, It looks really nice.

I'll post some pics of it when when out boating!!!

Thanks

Have you guys heard of jaxed.com It's a comprehension search engine for craigslist and ebay. I hadn't until today.

Pretty good tool for trying to find something specific:

Jim, what about the tan/beige stars? Looks like his boat is beige; same color scheme as our 84, and I need to replace a couple of the stars.
