The boat is a 1973. I know it is stainless, but what grade?

EDIT: Okay, I was thinking of having our machinist we use for our welding and fab company make me a new driveshaft. Thats why I was trying to find out what grade was used. After talking to ACME, I'm thinking that it would probably be more feasible to buy a shaft made from a company that CNC's with super exact tolerances and all that. So my new question, where should I get the shaft from? ACME recommended Marine Machining in MI. I called them and got a rough quote, told them the shaft was 5' because I haven't measured it, they said $256. That doesn't sound bad at all. But what do you guys know that I don't, where is the best deal? Thanks

No idea- never seen any info about that. Call ACME and they can tell you what will work.
