IF it's anything like my travel trailer solonoid, there's a little black box that the plunger plugs into....
other than that, I dunno:o

About 6 inches behind the ball lock and release, there are two bolts. The safety cable is connected just in the front/center of those two bolts. There should be a piece of sturdy plastic where the cable should be attached.

How about a few pics of the result. We can go from there.

This may sound insulting but did you check to see if you have a manual for the coupler? I got one with my boat and there are specific directions for replacing the wire. Mine has special clips that need to go on after it has been activated. They even supplied a few extras taped to the manual cover.

Reminds me that I need to reattach the hook to mine. Not doing me much good in its present condition.

Hey Tom -
Do you have the UFP coupler? I have one under the 98 Maristar I recently purchased, and of course didn't get the extra clips. Are they just small E-Clips like these? (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAMF6&P=M)

Yes, I have the UFP coupler and the clips look like those but I don't know the correct size.
