I have a friend who is looking for a good wakeboard boat under $20K and it has to be no more than 20' long (registered length) because of a lake that has a 20' size limit.

Did MC make a tristar 200 or Maristar 200? Are the 205V's registered as 21 footers?

Yes, they did make a 20' Maristar (20' 6" IIRC) in 1998. Same hull as the X-10 and Maristar 210 of the following years.

Prior to '98, they also built a Maristar 200 for a number of years.

My 2000 205 DD says 20.7 ft on the title and registration IIRC. I assume the 205v will be the same.

Yup, the 205 in any form is over 20'. X7 fits the bill, but probably won't be had for under $20K. Gotta be getting close though.

I think the Prostar 190 weighs in under 20' title-wise. Good deal for that boat providing it is a freshwater boat. It just happens to be on the west coast.... Dang... However shipping is not bad for that price.

Yes i'm on the west coast and it is a freshwater boat. Plenty of lakes around, and in the early am during the week they are empty. Where are you guys located?

No, it's a lake in Bucks county PA owned by Waste Management. (yes it's next to a landfill) :D

20' max, 5.7 liter max size engine.

Ramhouse, we're in NJ. Nice boat though.

Oh. I only asked because Mohawk has that ridiculous 20' rule too. Good luck with the search.

You might want to steer him towards the Sportstar. My friend has a '99 that is 19' with an open bow that has been a great all around boat. I have seen a few for sale in the $12-15,000 range. Awhile back Wakechic had hers for sale.

I'll sell with shipping included, for 12,000. Just kidding!!! Hope your friend finds something before summer is over, good luck. Yeh, the sport is good, also tyr to find an X5..i think they are 20' with open bow and internal sacs. Hard to find though. I was looking a couple years ago and couldn't find one. Good luck

Sounds like the sportstar would fit the bill. Is the X-5 the same hull?

Maybe someone can give me the rundown on hulls 20' and under not counting outboards.

Prostar 190
Sportstar 19' (?)
X-5
Maristar 200
barefoot 190
Tristar 190 / barefoot 190
any others???
